program summary
Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) offers incentives to commercial and industrial customers that install energy-efficient equipment in eligible facilities. Rebates are available for a variety of energy efficiency measures, including lighting equipment, HVAC equipment, anti-sweat heater controls for cooler/freezer doors, heat pumps (air and ground source), food service equipment, motors and variable speed drives. Rebates on Energy Star appliances are also available through this program. Custom energy efficiency rebates, including equipment and measures not found in the formal rebate program, are also available to RPU customers. Applications must be submitted and approved before the new equipment is installed. Customers must submit original invoices with the quantity, price of materials, purchase or order date, installation costs, and all applicable tax information. Rebates are available until funds are exhausted for the calendar year. Contact RPU for more information on this program.
