City of San Marcos - Commercial Lighting Retrofit Program

The City of San Marcos offers a Commercial Lighting Rebate Program to encourage the replacement of inefficient lighting with LED lighting. Some upgrades that are common for this program include: Replacing fluorescent lighting with LEDs, replacing high-pressure metal hallides/sodium with LEDs, replacing incandescent exit signs with LEDs, and installing lighting controls (ex. occupancy sensors). This rebate is available for multi-family, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. New buildings built within the last 10 years are not eligible for rebates.
